Find the URL for shares set to "Public" on Ethernet Disk Mini: Home Edition and Internet Space

Shares set to public can be accessed directly via a special web address generated by the system. By default, these are not displayed in an obvious way on the web administration page. Follow the procedure below to find the URL:

  1. Log into the Ethernet Disk by connecting to http://homelacie.com
  2. Navigate to the folder that will be set to public access.
  3. Click "Help" in the upper-right corner, and choose "Show tips".
  4. Set the share to public access, then click the name of the share. The URL for guest read-only access will be displayed, here, near the top of the window.
