The Seagate WSS NAS 4-Bay and 6-Bay include an LCD menu. You can check general hardware and operating system settings while the WSS NAS is powered on. Review the table below for further details on the LCD menu.
See System Overview for the locations of the LCD menu and the up/down arrows.
Menu | Sub-menu |

Network | See the IP addresses assigned to the WSS NAS. |
Storage | See the percent of storage used: globally and per volume. |
Alerts | Up to five alerts are listed on the sub-menu. Alerts include: temperature; casing; fan; and storage. |
Temperature | Check the temperatures for the WSS NAS's: hard drives; CPU; and motherboard. |
Fan | Review the fan’s rotational speed. |
Date | Review the date, time and uptime. Uptime refers to the amount of time that the WSS NAS has been powered on. |
Software Information | Check the version of the Seagate Monitor tab in the Windows Storage Server 2012 R2 Essentials dashboard. |
Each menu and sub-menu remains on the LCD display for 30 seconds. To exit a sub-menu, apply a long push to the WSS NAS’s up or down arrow.
