Restic

Restic is validated for use with Lyve Cloud Object Storage.

Configure Restic

To configure Restic for use with Lyve Cloud:

Export the variables:

export RESTIC_REPOSITORY="s3:s3.<region>.sv15.lyve.seagate.com/<bucket>"

export AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID="<access-key>"

export AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY="<secret-key>"

where:

<region> is the appropriate Lyve Cloud region, for example, us-east-1.
<bucket> is the name of your Lyve Cloud bucket.
<access-key> is your access key.
<secret-key> is your secret key.

Initialize the repository:

Run command: restic init
Enter password for new repository

Restic Basic Commands

Backup

restic backup /Users/660186/desktop/PicFolder
