Receiving a Permissions Error When Trying to Modify Files or Folders

A few possible solutions in case there are some permission errors.

You may sometimes experience an error when trying to modify some files or folders located on your Seagate Central while working with the files locally.

Files or folders that have been saved or created to the Public folder from the remote access service (Tappin) can only be modified from the Tappin interface.

You will be able to access the files locally and will be able to read the files, but you will get an error when attempting to modify the files, such as editing or deleting them.

If you find yourself seeing this type of error on files you have saved remotely, we recommend that you modify them from the Tappin interface again by going to the following page: http://access.seagate.com
