Memeo Instant Backup is a program included with the GoFlex, GoFlex Desk, and GoFlex Home drives. It is a simple program that allows the user to back up the data files of their primary drive to the GoFlex drive.
To start an Instant Backup plan:
- Double-click the Seagate Dashboard on the desktop of the computer.
- Open Instant Backup from the Seagate Dashboard.
Note: If the software is not yet installed, you will need to install it first. Click on the Install button from the Seagate Dashboard software. - Click Start Backup to back up all data files on the C: drive.
Note: Certain files are excluded from the backup by default here is a list of them:
- The Windows system folder
- Virtual hard drive files
- Log files
- Temporary Files
- The Program Files folder
