System requirements
The SDK uses a virtual appliance under the form of an “OVA” (as in Open Virtual Appliance) file. The VirtualBox virtualization software (http://www.virtualbox.org) is required to run the NAS OS SDK. VMWare may work as well, though this is unsupported.
Warning
In order to use the SDK Virtual Machine, the host OS must be 64 bits, or at
least Intel VT-x capable.
All the packages required to develop an app for NAS OS are installed in the development environment. Refer to the Getting Started section for detailed installation instructions.
